“For The Weekend” tells an all-too-familiar story of lust-over-love.
The track is about making the most out of the time you have while concurrently knowing it’s not meant to last. The song draws on these conflicting emotions in its upbeat progression. You can feel each moment of the track with time passing as the depth of the track makes every hour, minute, second increasingly

The song came together once Tropix discovered J Shaw and Mannis’ trending single, “High School” on Tik Tok, before reaching out to connect, & the trio quickly hit it off. J Shaw and producer/co-writer Mannis’s pop-rap/pop-rock style fused easily with Tropix’ Dance & EDM flair, and “For The Weekend” quickly pushed its way to the surface. ABOUT TROPIX
Hey all my name is Dylan, most of you know me by Tropix. I'm a music artist, DJ and creator. Before Web3, as an independent artist, I released originals, remixes, and mixes garnering 75+ Mill streams across all platforms and growing TikTok to 375K followers. I have done remixes for the likes of Two Friends, The Chainsmokers, Cheat Codes, & Lost Kings. The emergence of Web3 in 2020 became the first time in my life where I have felt unrestricted to build my brand, community through the support and growth of what has become not just Tropix, but the Tropix Fam. DJing over 100+ metaverse shows experimenting with new experiences has allowed me to meet incredible creators, builders, degens, artists, and Web3 enthusiasts who are looking to grow together. However, during that time I lost my creative time for music making and this became my longest music hiatus ever during my 10 year career. This has led me to take my own approach for this release to merge the digital and
